About the Concept
The Bahrain Pavilion concept abstracts the Bahraini hawk into layered architectural forms expressing movement, strength and freedom.
Design intent
The design process moves from cultural inspiration to feather-like geometry, a welcoming canopy, a central oculus, water and an integrated landscape.
The concept board frames the pavilion around heritage, people, opportunity and tomorrow. Its zoning combines a grand central entrance, technology showcase, interactive installations, performance spaces, VIP and meeting areas, restaurants, staff facilities and landscaped outdoor areas.
